Brisbane - Grand Rounds
On September 13, 2005, I have been invited to address mental health professionals at the Royal Brisbane Hospital Mental Health Grand Rounds.
I have been requested to speak about my experience with my son Riley, as a mental health consumer, my understanding of his illness, and my experience with mental health services.
The main focus of my address will be to compare public mental health services with services provided by the private mental health sector. I also intend to speak about the integrity of privacy laws when a mentally ill person clearly lacks capacity to make decisions that are in their best interest.
